Do you read The Psalms? I’ve found that reading a Psalm a day still allows me enough days in the year to read Proverbs through twice. I love The Psalms. Psalms includes a rainbow of emotions from a fear of death, the despair of sin, the confidence that comes from knowing God cares, to the limitless joy of worship. I began my year by reading Psalm 119 on January 1. It’s the longest Psalm and focuses on the Word of God. I want those thoughts in my mind all year long. It’s not too late! You still have time to begin today and read all The Psalms by the end of the year.
Did you hear John Howkins’ good news? If you do not receive the church emails please check in with John or Beryl to hear the latest on John’s blood work.
Finally, 12 years ago today we welcomed Brandon & Ashley to Lakes full time. BG had served here the previous four summers as Youth Pastor. In December of ’02 they were married, 5 months later they graduated from Northland. A couple weeks later they moved into the Portsmouth apartments. What a tremendous blessing they have been and continue to be to all of us. Thank you Brandon & Ashley!
God bless you friends,
Rejoicing in Christ, Don
