“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” -Mark 10:45
Praise the Lord for the salvation we have through Jesus Christ, the suffering servant of Isaiah. Hallelujah too, for the example of giving His life as a servant. The greatest example, of course, is when He washed the twelve’s feet. Can you think of other examples?
So, how are we Christ-like? We serve! How do you serve?
If there are 200 things that need to be done around Lakes every week, then what are you doing to help the body function properly. Is your “service” promoting or hindering unity in the family? Are you contributing weekly or weakly? Would you pray about stepping up your participation level please? We need your help.
Involve your kids too! How? Here are two immediate ways to do so. First, we really need some frogs in both ponds (before they lay their eggs) and tadpoles if we miss our opportunity. Second, bring your kids to the work day this Saturday. Make it a family outing.
God bless you friends.
